Dr Maria Ambrosio is a DPhil student and Research Assistant on the ParentText study. Her DPhil research, which she is completing in Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation at the University of Oxford, evaluates how different cultural determinants impact the behavioural intention of parents and caregivers. As a strong advocate of primary prevention, she has worked throughout her career with non-governmental organizations, faith-based and healthcare institutions, and government authorities to advance children's and women's health. Maria holds a Master of Public Health Degree from Georgia State University, U.S. (2021) and a Medical Doctor Degree from Belgorod State University, Russia (2017). She has professional experience in public and private healthcare institutions in Africa, Europe and U.S. Previously, she has used her Public Health expertise in her work at the Georgia Department of Public Health and the Arthritis Foundation. Her research interests are focused on how digital technologies can scale up social and public health interventions in developing countries.
