Dr Hlengiwe Sacolo is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Fort Hare, Public Health Department, Faculty of Health Sciences. She is a Co-Principal investigator in the ParentText Optimisation and Evaluation Study in South Africa. Her research focuses on implementation science and evaluation research, particularly, the optimisation and evaluation of digital parenting programmes to improve positive parenting and reducing the risk of violence against children in low resource settings. She has previously worked as Co-Investigator in the Parenting for Lifelong Health Scale-Up of Parenting Evaluation Research (PLH-SUPER), a multi-country study aimed at adapting and scaling up PLH in low- and middle-income countries.
Her broader research interests include family strengthening interventions, Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health and Rights, Policy, and Advocacy in the Global South.
